I will concede that orcs have personhood (within their fictional world) but that isn't their archetypal function, and comparing them to real human beings based on appearance/ethnicity is vile.
What sad pathetic creatures trying to twist and distort Tolkien's work to resemble the very hatred and perversion their being reflects due to lack of 'soul'.
My personal guess is that they are a hybrid race, created by forced breeding between captured Avari and wicked Maiar. That would explain their fundamentally wicked nature, and also their “loathing for the master they served in fear, the maker only of their misery”.
It would also explain the permanent racial hatred between Elves and Orcs. And it would explain how they serve as a mockery of Elves.
They're literally orcs, for crying out loud! They're literally demonically corrupted monsters!
"Orc lives matter" only because if there is no evil, then there is no morality. If there is no morality, then people can do what they want.

Evil cannot create. It just defiles and mars.
Orcs are certainly an anti-civilizational force. You can call that evil if you want.
Tolkien was never sure about the origin of Orcs.
