Wokeness never died. Many of us said the opposite: woke never gives up. They double down, triple, quadruple. The left will push their ideology until you accept it or they are forced to kill you to eliminate opposition.

The problem was the "social media influencers" who felt that a Trump win meant all the left would roll up and cry in defeat. Sure, they might've rolled up and cried (and still are), but Trump's win simply elevated their prioritization of violence. The social media conservatives' followers then repeated the lie of the "win."

The left cannot reason or compromise. They must win. Which means, the left must be defeated. There is no "moderate" position. There is no compromise. There is no leftist retreat. The only option to stop the left is to DEFEAT them.

They chose the ground of violence.

I haven't bought a comic book in ten years. Why should I buy a book that insults my country and my beliefs?

I grew up on the original Ultimate Universe (Earth-1610) from Marvel, starting with Ultimate Spider-Man back in 2001, thanks to Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley. I used to collect all the reprints from Panini Comics in my native UK, and then I dived into The Ultimates by Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch. Now, I know there are plenty of naysayers out there, but I'm not one of them—*cough* *cough* Spirit Of Paradox. I’m a genuine fan of the New Ultimate Universe (Earth-6160) and really hope we'll see a return of either universe in some form.

Deniz Camp's work on The Ultimates was refreshingly bold and a far cry from clickbait—just fantastic storytelling and stunning art by Juan Frigeri. I’m truly grateful to the writers, artists, editors, and everyone at Marvel for delivering the best crossover event we’ve seen in the last decade. Jonathan Hickman and the creative team crafted a powerful overarching story across five titles. I especially loved Camp’s take on Ultimate She-Hulk—will my solo She-Hulk (Lejori Zakaria) ever see the light of day? Fingers crossed... along with Hickman's Ultimate Spidey (Peter Parker), Green Goblin (Harry Osborn), and more!
