The internet went wild this week as people discovered they could make Studio Ghibli style AI generated art, leading to a lot of memes and fun on X, though some artists are reacting with outrage to the memes being posted.
Losers are always going to whine and cry. Email was tough on postmen too. Literally everyone who parrots that same stupid line about AI lacking soul and life simply underlines their techno-retardery.
Music and visual art are nothing but numbers. There is no life or soul in anything that can be perfectly reduced to numbers.
What AI does is force-multiply the talented, eliminate the hacks, and democratize the art.
As for the perpetually triggered - AI is just a generation tool. The exact same arguments can be applied to any digital art - "Why use the fill function when real artists have to feel every stroke of the brush?"
The first one messes up the meme. In the original meme, the guy is clearly impressed by the hot girl. In the Ghibli one, he seems to be a little upset about someone off the frame. Whoever it is, the hot girl is looking at them too.
