One of my first crushes, when I was seven years old, was Supergirl--the one in the comic books of the 1960s. That Supergirl was not only strong and fast and smart, she was kind and fun and even sweet, the kind of girl a guy would like to know. Today's Supergirl seems to be the opposite, or at least the actress portraying her gives that impression. No crushes to give this time around.
But I will say her hair looks realistic for someone who has been flying through the air at high speed. Needs a good wash and combing out.
I’ll stick with the DC Superhero Girls cartoon because it honors lore while being hilarious and well-written. Can’t go wrong with Lauren Faust. Nicole Sullivan is the voice actor for Super Girl and nails it.
I mean, people are allowed to say what they think about any given subject and and on any given day. I mean there are people who wish you would shut up also. But I defend your freedom to speak, my freedom to speak, and her freedom to speak any day of any week of any year. The film may succeed or fail based on how good it is right?
I would assume a business would not want their star to alienate potential audience goers. Everyone saw what happened to Snow White with a mouthy starlet thinking she was more important than the film.
I agree , if it is a good film , it can recover over bad interviews with its stars. But if the stars make poeple not even want to consider going to the film then they have lost a battle before the movie hits theatres.
Sometimes a company, especially who is making a piece of art if you want to call it that, is very much in the business of offending people who view their product. A very famous and accomplished filmmaker once said that if another filmmaker is not offending someone they’re not doing their job. For those involved in making films it is not always about every last dollar you can squeeze out of it. Yes, you want to reach an audience. Yes, you want to reach an audience that is receptive to your statement. But its not about selling every last ticket that you can.

Hollywood is not riddled in debt that is objectively untrue. Some acquisitions have put the purchasers in debt because they made purchases that were beyond their capacity and their means. The hey are taking a gamble. Those gambles do not represent the probability of the individual projects that are being produced. There are many many Hollywood productions that have been and remain profitable. Broadly, it’s one of the most profitable industries there are.

The few advertisements I've seen for this one seem to mainly focus on her dog. The scenes in the advert that featured her gave me an instant dislike of her.

My high school daughter is excited about this film. She and her friends go to a lot of movies. It could succeed if it clicks with them.
