Subnautica 2 sold two million copies in its first twelve hours of Early Access and peaked at 651,000 concurrent players across Steam, Epic, and Xbox, one of the largest Early Access launches in gaming history.
Well, with Stop Killing Games having the momentum it's got, im not buying this game or any game that labels itself as nothing more than "licensed" to me, not bought until I can play my games passed their "expiration dates".
Also, I am a bit late to the party, last time I checked, the devs of Subnautica were very, very woke. I remember I bought Subnautica Below Zero and was a DEI-ridden slopfest where every main character was a woman aside from the evil white guy in the space station. What did I miss?
Best i can guess, this is a way to restrict criticism of the game by gamers or vtubers, by refusing people to make videos about said game, as well as deny legal recourse when you break that bit (by criticizing the game in ANY way, or worse the company or something as simple as cussing during playthrough) when they rescind your game license without explanation or intent to explain or compensate you, because you "brought shame on Krafton", or some garbage like that.
I've had Subnautica sitting in my Epic games inventory for years. Finally downloaded and tried to play it and I am totally confused on what to do or where to go. So no go on Subnautica 2! LOL!!

I strongly hope the Stop Killing Games movement will put a solid foot in the door for actual customers' right and ownership of software.
Unlikely, but a man can dream.
As Martin Luther King proved, it all begins with a dream. :D
Indeed.

That's exactly why I didn't buy it, you could tell from the promotional material that it was a woke game.

Three things stopped me from even considering Subnautica 2.
One: woke, Marxist devs trigger-raging over the player base asking for guns in Sub2.
Two: profusion of "bisexual lighting" (blues and purples).
Three Krafton's shady contract canceling to screw the septum ring devs out of their bonuses by firing them all.
I won't support people that hate me.
I won't play a game specifically hitting me with subliminal effects that promote bisexuality.
I won't give money to a company as predatory as Krafton, even if the victims were nose-rings.
I've uninstalled games that I've bought for less than this. Removed from the wish list.
