Kor would have cut Jay-den in half for being a deviant. Khaless would have cut his balls off and forced them down his throat. Kang would have simply disintegrated him.
If you want to do "subversive" make the gay Klingon a super-Alpha hero stud who is extremely competent. We can find out he's gay later when he tells a friend who didn't know "Yes, I'm gay, and it's the least interesting thing about me." I think that would have made a much more interesting character.
After the recent Star Wars spinoff fiasco (the one about the Black lesbian space witches), it was only a matter of time before a Trek spinoff started pushing gay stuff. What's surprising is they went directly to gay, bypassing lesbian Klingons (lesbianism is easier to sell than gay). Kingons are more-or-less Black. Amazing that they skipped over the witchcraft--or did I miss something?
In a rational reality, Paramount Skydance give this production that Batwoman treatment and bury season 2 deep within a salt mine, never to be seen by non-woke eyes, and clawback a portion of the budget in tax relief by declaring the whole thing a loss.
Releasing it can only cause further damage to the IP and erosion of trust to the studio.

what are they going to do with all this overpriced unwatchable content? if no one turned up when this was new, I doubt it will ever be shown in reruns. a complete waste of money.
