Actor Karim Diane, who plays Jay-Den Kraag on Starfleet Academy, made the bold claim that not only is the show but the entire Star Trek franchise is a vehicle for LGBTQ+ propaganda.
Yes, I fondly recall James Tiberius Kirk LGBTQ plus plussing all over green-skinned Orion space girls. Then, when he was done with them, he LGBTQ plus plussed with some attractive female crew. Later, he would LGBTQ plus plus that hot chick in the distant past to death (well, that part wasn't his fault).
Boy, that James T Kirk that was a star of the show really was super LGBTQ for hot women. Plus even.
Does it count as an ab hominem attack to say that his forehead looks like it's plastic. The color is too uniform, I guess makeup is another of the bad things about this show.
In the video we see Spock wearing an IDIC (“Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations”) pendant. Behind the scenes of the conversation. Gene Roddenberry wanted to sell that pendant as a merchandise of the show, so he told Leonard Nomiy to wear it and inserted that dialogue in the script, just because he wanted to create a concept for the pendant and push people to buy it. Leaonard Nimoy did not want to wear it because he felt that the ideology behind it, had nothing to do with Vulcans who are not known for their tolerance to the "illogical" rest of the Universe. Gene Roddenbery practically forced him to wear it and say the lines. So we can assume that Gene Roddenbery had nothing to do with the woke bull they promote now.
I recently had occassion to opine on this abomination of a Star Trek show and caused a friend some dismay and unhappiness. She loves the show and thinks it is truly Star Trek. That caused me to think about the dichotomy between my experience directly with the original as it was aired the first time and her experience of Star Trek long after TOS stopped being aired even as reruns. Her first exposure to Trek was Next Gen, which was early-woke and utterly awful TV. Next Gen is so not Trek, but it is all that many people know of Trek. They can not look past the simple sets and costumes to truly see TOS. I realized that I am holding Academy to a standard that it, my friend, and the youth of today can not possibly meet. They haven't the intellectual nor spiritual capacity for it. I have come to the conclusion that it is best to pat her and her ilk on the head, to simply let them gush over what I know is garbage because it really is all they can handle. They didn't choose this, it was forced upon them. They were dumbed down by Hollywood and the school system. Likewise, Karim Diane doesn't know jack about TOS, Roddenberry, or Science Fiction. As an actor, he doesn't know much about anything. He reads what other people write. He reads it the way someone else tells him to. He does it as often as they tell him to till he gets it the way they want it. He has likely never worked a day in his life and likely never will. He was, is, and always shall be an entitled, pampered, pinhead.

There are most certainly only fans girls who spend more time blending their makeup than was done with that prosthetic.
They probably just slapped it on and figured they could add skin tone, blemishes, and blush later with AI.
This character is about as likable as Jay Den Smith, Will's reprehensible kid.
I think a [male?] Klingon in a sassy lavender pant suit puts the last nail in the coffin.

Jay-Den the skirt wearing Klingon is going to tell people what Star Trek is about-- and Paramount can't figure out why ratings are in the toilet...

I can't wait for this dumpster fire to get cancelled. The sooner, the better.
Good riddance.
They can never take away your woke virtue signaling, but they sure as heck can take away your paycheck. Go woke go broke.
