While fans are awaiting what’s going to happen with the fate of Star Trek because of the Paramount/Skydance merger, the announcements were fairly modest this year.
I'll give them a pass on that one; I think the blue is meant as a stand-in for the generally black hair of most Vulcans. A lot of times, young kids' cartoons don't like to go with "full black" as a major color on any characters (or in general) because children are more attracted to bright colors.
Given the description of the first episode it seems like a Paw Patrol wannabe that got the Star Trek name grafted onto it. Would have been better to call it AstroKids or something like that.
