I got that vibe from him too. I'm not defending his actions, but I wonder what kind of horrors he endured being a child actor and working in Hollywood. I still remember him in Even Stephens back in the day. The film Holes too.

Also his childhood with being raised by hippie/addict parents.

The fact that he speaks so lovingly about his dad after what he put him through, really speaks to what a kind soul he is.

Either that, or I'm having a stroke. His entire interview sounds like how burnt toast smells.

He's a recent convert, working through it. He's fortunate that the church he was initiated in still practices the Traditional Latin Mass. He recently portrayed Saint Padre Pio. Mark Wahlberg has come a long way as well . . .
