I listened to Ben Shapiros podcast for about 4 months back in 2017 before I came to the conclusion "Damn he's annoying". I can't imagine some people lasted until this year. Wow.
Looks like Pool jumped onto a sinking ship. Never able to criticize Our Greatest Ally, The Daily Wire's schtick has grown tiresome. Looks like it was yet another propped up propaganda outfit.
Yeah, but with Ben, not just "unable to criticize our greatest ally", he instead, doubled, tripled and quadrupled down in his support of all things "Israel", and in the process, basically shit on everybody on the planet that didn't agree with his every utterance about it! He went nuts! I lost all respect for him. His maniacal tantrum, his ranting, raving, screaming, non-stop insane outrage of the entire thing, made him look like "the most triggered liberal college student" of all time! He became, EVERYTHING that he spent his years, tearing down, in an instant! Personally, I think he went a little crazy, and never made it back to rationality; He was just that unhinged!
Being a woman I always thought TDW was more of a sausage fest! A bunch of dudes sitting around smoking cigars was not a good look, IMO. Was glad when they hired Candace Owens and Brett Cooper. When they first started I joined but ended up cancelling my membership. Then came the fiasco with Crowder, then Candace left (Shapiro made an ass of himself over this), then Brett, then they tried to scramble and get Tim Pool on board (didn't work). They've been going downhill for a long time! I like Matt Walsh but he needs to go out on his own.
For one thing, Tim Pool always compared his show to the Daily Wire, as something to aspire towards, inferring that from his perspective, the Daily Wire had a huge subscriber base, got millions of views, and was reportedly, very well heeled.
The very idea that they would then go to him, and seek to trick him into buying them, would seem like a very odd play, to HIM! "I thought you guys were loaded, why would I be able to buy you!?"
If I had to guess, three things played into this situation-
1- After Oct. 7th, Ben Shapiro went apeshit crazy! I mean full emotional breakdown, that's to say, he went FULL JEW, and abandoned all of his supposed principles, and instead, sided with Israel and his fellow Jews, around 175%. Full Tilt. To the point where he sounds like a raving lunatic madman. It definitely hurt him, his brand, and TDW.
2- The follow-up was his feud with Candace Owen, which was part of the Ben Shapiro tantrum, and then firing her, so all of her viewers could go with her, and they did. She is killing it, and TDW is barely a blip on the modern lexicon. Other than an occasional quip from Matt Walsh, I don't hear ANYTHING from TDW. Ever.
3- Brett Cooper's odd exodus, the optics that TDW did her dirty, and then hired her best friend to take her place, who isn't any good. Honestly, WTF was that!? I'd never even heard of Brett Cooper, until she left, and all this happened, and it was another stain on TDW, and she took her viewers with her.
So, Ben has burned too many bridges, Matt Walsh is hit or miss, and Jordan Peterson's schtick is getting old, and he got over-exposed. Thus, if TDW is broke, done, and dead, I wouldn't be surprised.
Lastly, I'll be getting my updates about it, from Candace and Brett, just because I love to see happy women, dancing on somebody's grave, and Candace does it very well.
What is it, three weeks after the USAID money was cut off? First Politico, now The Daily Wire... who will be next?
