Did this do anything for Xbox? Like at all? I mean you could argue it showed representation, if that would actually be a goal of theirs, you know, instead of profit (or worth anything at all for that matter, which it is not). But did it do representation any better then the glory that is Captain Dorag? Do better Xbox. The characters don't even have the exaggerated swagger of black teens.
Seriously though, all initiatives like this are for is to bind fledgling studios and developers to Xbox money and make them financially dependent. In an ironic twist, it's much like foreign aid in that regard. Another W for economic colonialism, I guess?
What's amazing about this game is the sheer unwillingness of anyone to even play it.
There are far more YouTube channels doing repeated negative videos about this game than the concurrent high player count, and possibly even more than the lifetime steam sales. Throw in conservative website coverage and the free advertising is overwhelming.
How does that happen with this much coverage? There are more than enough leftwing idealogues who spout this kind of nonsense, and the left certainly has its weird video game freaks. Just by default this should have gotten a few hundred more lookey loos or sticking it to the chuds types.
Even if they are completely blind algorithmically to all that "alt right" content, at least a few of their culture warriors, who monitor us like we monitor them, should have picked up the banner of this game and raised it up their little hill of pronouns and oppression.
