If I'm reading this right, the cost of shipping is making a sequel economically unviable for the artist to draw a sequel after raising $300G? I'm a noob and there's a lot I don't know, but this doesn't make sense to me. If he didn't get a commission to draw it, then the shipping is so much that royalties off the crowdfund proceeds are not worth his contribution?

Help me, Math Master, you're my only hope.

Until Indie publishers are given real standing in that industry, more of this type of reality will happen. It's too easy for booksellers, like Amazon, to put unrealistic "rules" and "guidelines" on them to make the efforts worthwhile. And it is extremely difficult to create an IP and compete against big publishing houses. I've seen this story numerous times. Yes, it's too bad that there won't be a sequel, but I completely understand it as an indie editor myself

True, us indie writers really must apply the Biblical saying; 'be as clever as serpents', when it comes to booksellers and such.

That’s a shame. The first book is GORGEOUS! I hope George will be able to return or that something else could be worked out.

That's extremely unfortunate. Razor is a fantastic writer--his novels are also great--and I was really hoping for a long series of Badlands comics.
