Popverse is losing its editorial news operation this month, becoming the latest casualty in a string of geek media closures tied to the collapse of the old online advertising model.
So AI scrapes a site for its content, a user searches for said content, the AI repackages it, the user doesn't pursue the inquiry any further, and the site gets nothing for it and the targeted advertisement supporting the site doesn't reach a potential customer.
Why exactly is this model even allowed? Nobody wants all this AI, or the massive AI data centers, it's actively ghost towning large swaths of the internet, it's sending consumer electronics pricing into the stratosphere, and yet, everywhere it's pushed.

Good riddance to all these trash sites.
I'm creating Gay-I - it scans for the presence of Mark Ruffalo and warns you in advance.
