I wonder if it's better for Star Trek's future if the takeover deal fails. A lot of that money that they have allocated for the WB acquisition could then go into Paramount's own productions. Emotionally, though, I believe WB should never be acquired. They've always been the more individualistic and edgier of the big Hollywood studies. Rolling them into a new entity would destroy a really valuable piece of Hollywood history.
They're in debt because they are America dumbest comany (Disney the most evil) and they have lost the ability to accquire cheap loans as a result of debt-to-asset value going down (used as leverage to get cheap loans to begin with post-2008) as a result of all their stupid corporate decisions. Thats the end result of endless low interest rates and cheap credit post 2008 crash plus loans were then tied to ESG/DEI thats all collapsing. Get Greedy, Get Woke, Go Broke
Let it collapse. WB is worthless, so is Hollywood. Let it burn. Let them sabotage themselves over CNN. Let them bleed out.
If they would rather collapse than compromise, even though it would save them, because of their woke pettiness, LET THEM DIE.
