Kind of ironic considering they are the ones literally colonizing D&D.

Instead of "Gnolls are attacking villages", the next revision will read "Gnoll freedom fighters are attacking colonial settlers."

D&D has nuked the fridge.

I did that back in the 80s with a game: My character adopted an orphaned mind-flayer, raised him as a baptised Christian child, and he went off to evangelize the Ilithids. He became a great Saint among them.

I suspect that is NOT what they have in mind. Feel free to borrow, in order to agree and amplify.

Dungeons and Dragons is no longer Dungeons and Dragons. It has become Draq Queens and Dimwits. It's another communist indoctrination device. I wonder if anyone is actually buying the books and supplements or if they are gathering dust on the shelves.

I'm a teacher, so I've had time off, lately. I've been spending time at my local Barnes and Noble... Right after Christmas there were still Player's Handbooks on the shelves... Not any more, as of last night.

Depressingly, Reddit D&D bulletin boards now feature more and more of such drivel.

Just for that, someone ought to do a D&D book for the Victorian era and show them what "real colonialism" looks like. 😁

"Colour Sergeant, it's a short chamber Boxer-Henry point-four-five caliber kind of beautiful."

Sly Flourish had some good ideas in the past. The 'Lazy DM' books are useful. But it's been obvious for some time that he's a Woke bugman.

IS THIS A PARODY?!?

Too many people just want to fantasize about being monsters, and being evil without consequences.

When every drow is Drizzt, Drizzt isn't special. Yes, I believe the push to being evil monsters goes back at least that far.

R. A. Salvatore was one of the best D & D fiction authors. The other standout fiction was the Dragonlance Chronicles.

One could say the same thing about any other novel franchise- Halo, Dr Who, Warhammer. That being said, I spent entire weekends as a six year old kid devouring Terry Nation Dr Who novels, and Greg Bear contributed to the Halo series.

Classic cult movie- much underrated. Few realise Soldier was written as a spin-off or sidequel to Blade Runner.

Totally not a Gnoll's avatar

What I interpret from "No Heroes" not saving the world from evil? Am I supposed to be evil, raiding villages, murdering people because they picked on them poor gnolls. This anti-coloinalism, makes me want to be the bad guy. Since they're telling me, "Oh, so I should help the gnolls destroy the village?" I'm down for that!" :D

It's 'Sly Flourish' not 'Sky Flourish'.

It's not new. It was published almost a year ago in January 2024.

Oh am playing ToEE from Goodman Games, we are dealing with Gnoll raiders , in 5e of course. Um, I am afraid this anti-colonialism is rather silly, my friends

This is not the way to may a mark in D&D
