Sci-fi authors protesting over the use of one of sci-fi cornerstones, the AI? Literally "bees protesting against honey".

Too bad WorldCon isn't in San Diego this year, seeing as they are pulling a Heaven's Gate.

Wait so... they were using a chatbot to automate scanning panelists' internet histories for thought crimes? And the prospective panelists got mad because they were using a chatbot to do it. Not, mind you, because it might hallucinate a thought crime. But because it was a chatbot.

That's hilarious.

Meat chatbots worried that digital chatbots will take their jobs.

"Many authors and fans in the science fiction establishment are completely outraged by the existence of AI to the point where they’ll kick and scream about it in any context."

Really...how interesting that "science fiction" folks are outraged by science-fiction turned reality like AI...How Ironic for sure.

Not surprised about the shrieking and screeching. I wager this all started with blue comb-over game developers and authors screeching that they were going to be replaced with AI.

So now, the nose rings instantly conclude all AI threatens them because their "heroes" are threatened. AI must be expunged because it is an Elon plot!

It's vile!

It's toxic!

It must be MAGA!

Advanced technology belongs in fiction, not reality! 😂
