The fact he only began to see how bad California and San Fran are when he actually visited them shows how oblivious these people are. They only watch 'approved' news stations, the ones that ignore the problems in Democrat run places and that only criticise Conservatives.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and tent cities are indeed a thing. There was one encampment next to a water reservoir that existed for roughly a year in plain view of a freeway onramp so I would get a taste of Cyberpunk every morning on my way to work without the dehumanizing cyberware implanted into my body. I have a smartphone for that!
A futuristic Chicago sounds kind of cool, I would mention a futuristic Detroit, but that was done well in Robocop.

Well, when Phantom Liberty fucked up the mechanics under the guise of "balancing", it can't be anything but "gone wrong"...
