You are falling into a trap where art will be put into a furnace “for the greater good”. I don’t trust our politicians to make the right decisions. I would rather have freedom to choose and culturally malign the evils of porn. But to have our politicians who are absolute morons bicker over what is considered “obscene” or “problematic” isn’t much better than what we have now.
