It would have been dead easy to have pushed the trans-(human) ideology by making the Silver Surfer a male character with an female actress - one with a contralto voice. Quite eerie, and subversive.
But they're not too bright.
Having a married couple expecting, and "save the baby, save the world" is a good, beautiful, and true plot. Once upon a time, Marvel could've shone with a story like that used to make a classic comic book film. A pity.
I liked the swap of the Ancient one in doctor strange. It somehow worked for me. I loathed the swap of Captain Mar-Vell in the 2019 movie. Mar-Vell is a guy and should always be a guy.This sliver surfer might be the same thing as Mar-Vell.
I really don't care if they cast a cat. I wasn't going to watch anything they make anyway. Apathy forever for them.
No sex swaps are acceptable. The counter screechers are either shills or culture junkies who want to like anything Marvel shits out.
If they're going to make the silver surfer a woman, could they at least make them LOOK like a woman? And not an overweight guy in drag?
Looks tacky and Im glad I rejected this movie.
Just watch the 1990s Fantastic Four cartoon. Several good episodes with Galactus. And, Thing died fighting the Hulk.
