I recently re-watched the 2 PUNISHER films, the one with Thomas Jane and the one with Ray Stevenson and while Stevenson's take felt to me more like the Castle from the comics, I felt Jane's version was better b/c he felt less indestructible. Castle is not some met human or alien just a very angry and well trained/disciplined human soldier and personally I find it more entertaining when the hero struggles winning just by the skin of his teeth and not b/c he's this near unstoppable robot. Jon Bernthal's version is also closer to realistic but with a much angrier Castle who is more like how one would expect a soldier in those circumstances would behave like unable to get along with most people. Thomas Jane's Castle was too nice./ His Castle felt more like a man in a single mission of revenge against those who killed his family where as the other 2 takes are more like man on a life long mission against more than just the ones who killed his wife and kid.
Sounds good, but knowing the direction of Marvel lately, we know this is a turd all dressed up for a date.
It's still gonna be a ...
This is still Disney's marvel, so you know the answer to that question.
But will it "hurt" good or "hurt" badly?
