“Lanterns” hit its third episode, “OutKast,” this week, and the hour does something that has become a habit on nearly every prestige streaming drama: it stops the story cold to spend an entire episode explaining how everyone got here.
They really needed to have someone, specifically a marine check his uniform. Based upon the image I found the Combat Action Badge is upside down and the whole stack of ribbons seems off for someone who was a senior NCO with multiple combat tours. Plus a NATO medal with no campaign ribbon to explain it unless the premise is that he fell under ISAF during NATO control in AFG.
