Who TF cares anymore? Star Wars was ruined a long time ago!

By the time the prequels came out, I had given up on the idea of Jedi being consistently portrayed within the pseudo-religious framework they were first presented. Too many authors, directors, actors, and commenters (let alone fanfic'ers!) couldn't be bothered to deal honestly and fairly with the strengths and limitations of practiced self-discipline (and self-denial) dedicated to a higher purpose.

(...and don't get me started on "grey Jedi"...!)

I've always had a problem with the no attachments rule. psychologically, that leads to mental illnesses and psychopathy. I always figured that the jedi were only half-opened to the force. The prequels didn't help any, as Anakin was yanked at a young age and exposed to war. He was too young for Padme, and followed his feeling a bit much. The jedi always struck me as a cult — you know yanking kids away from their parents, tell them to hide their emotions and teach them to fight. The sith gave in to their emotions and used them as fuel.

That was one of the reasons I like the New Jedi Order. Jedi could be regular folk, with friends and families, they seemed more balanced for the universe.

I simply enjoy these new Star Wars stories by rooting for the villains. Team Sith all the way. Why not? The Jedi are written to have no redeeming qualities and the villains have full autonomy and will to power.

I thought Favreau was more trustworthy than this when it came to lore. On the other hand, Luke also picked Attachment, as mentioned Yoda said he wasn't ready. Even with Yoda dying before his training was 100% Luke became a great Jedi. Maybe this is part of the character growth of Grogu, and a lesson he needs to learn to really unlock the Force. Though I suspect any relationship is completely accidental and we're giving those clowns more credit than they deserve.

That said, Luke will always be a self-proclaimed Jedi Master even though OJT shouldn't be counted considering he failed almost every test.
