If you watch the game trailer, every one of Bond's superiors is either non-white, female or both, as if the Empire's been taken over by its former colonials. And Bond himself feels distinctly lower class and unsophisticated.
It's as if they knew they couldn't (yet) get away with making him black, gay or female, so they left him white and male but took away everything else that makes him distinctly Bond.

The new Disney CEO has already laid down the law at Disney, or so rumors go, that the days of political ideological messaging, what we call woke, are over at Disney. His Wall Street backers apparently have had enough losses from Idiot Igor's tenure and are ready to move on, or would it be more apt to save move back; back to the pre-woke years when content made a profit?
Its only a matter of time however time is what it will take with this industry since the avg production time, from greenlight to release, is 3-5 years. By 2030 we should see significant change in Disney's releases. It will be transitional period with each year seeing fewer garbage content but it is going to happen b/c no one works for free and no one is willing to loose $$ forever not even for an ideological belief.
It's also going to take some time in gaming b/c of how many liberal feminist women have infected the industry. Even after the studio heads decide to abandon the woke messaging they will still be fearful of letting go of any female employees for fear of a sexual discrimination based lawsuits. We have to change not just our institutions but the system, the law, so its not so easy and rewarding for women and others who get hired b/of Affirmative Action and or DEI, to so easily sue and profit from that.
I mean for someone as tone deaf as he is, he has a remarkably bad grasp of what that actually does mean. Taking an established legacy IP and going "well yeah, of course things that made this an established legacy IP have got to go, duh!" strikes me as the dictionary definition of tone deaf. But what do I know.
What is really funny to me though is that he seems to think the appeal of "play it first, then judge" has any weight what so ever. Or logic or sense, realy. Why would I make a $70 investment and waste 20+ hours of my life, only to confirm what all signs point to? In the age of youtubers and independent critics of whom I know my taste aligns with, that is not a risk I am willing to take. For better or for worse, this isn't the 80s anymore where all we had to go by was the text on the back of the box. Get real, son. You made your point, no swim or sink with it. Ain't my fault if it was stupid.
I'll keep re-watching the Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Casino Royale/Skyfall Daniel Craig movies and someday read one of the Ian Fleming's novels, I can happily do without this heavy mischaracterization and misunderstanding of the Bond character. And if I want to play an actual great Bond game, there are plenty of them in the previous generations of gaming consoles and overall gaming.
