All you need to do is a see a picture of the obese and/or ugly women behind this game to understand why it's a pathetic joke. Buy it only if you're low IQ, gay, or both.

If that wasn't enough, Mystique is supposedly "married" (more like mirage) to Tyger Tiger.

Utter propaganda garbage.

With that investment into Sweet Baby, Inc churning out platinum caliber content like this, how many zeroes will be on the bonus checks? As in "sorry, you get 0 bonus."

Why do studios keep repeating this pattern?

Think about the "forced vaccination of everybody" campaign. This was worldwide and clearly obviously imposed from above all the nations of the world. Cramming gay themes into absolutely everything also has nothing to do with creativity. It is imposed from far above any of the creators and studios.

So now tell me: Why do studios keep repeating this pattern?

All they care about is pushing their woke SJW and DEI propaganda. That's all that matters to them.

Sony is lucky they have studios in Asia making games that appeal to more normal people rather than obsess about how how the Trans/Gays and those Blue-Anon idiots will receive a Chinese/Korean/Japanese game.

One bonus of EA being bought by the Saudis? I doubt we're going to see much funded in the way of games who's major plot points turn on social justice, especially trans and gays.

So, do the slash fiction shippers who get off on this sort of abomination have a cute pet name for this obvious fanfiction ship?

Wolvertooth?

Sabrerine?

Weapon X-Rated?

Brokeback Mountain Men?

XXX-Men?

Brotherhood of Gay Mutants?

This just tells me that Insomniac hates it’s own audience.

There is one silver lining with current day games like this: we again live in an era where trailers are truly indicative of a game once more. Think about it. For ages now most trailers used to be curated cinematic experiences, even if they show "game play". Take the GTA VI aimbot gunfights for example. Used to be you couldn't draw any worthwhile conclusions from a trailer anymore. Now? Whike the fake game play stuff hasn't changed, now I am already getting out when I see the women got hit with the ugly stick again. Not only because I don't want ugly characters populating my entertainment, because all the connecting conclusions you are likely to draw from that (like mediocre gameplay, uninspired story, forced DEI content etc.) turn out to be true more often then not. Truly made trailers worth watching again.

One of the studio directors is trying to do damage control right now saying they "are like brothers" (a conceit, mentioned, from the movie). He also says that in THEIR Wolverine, Sabretooth never killed Logan's lover so there's nothing more than a bit of brotherly hijinks! See, that makes it all better.

Nothing to see here, folks! Move along and consume product.

I imagine this attempt at pandering to progressives and gays is going to cost them 1 million more sales than the number of progressives and gays that will now buy the game. It would be fine, since it is one of the biggest releases of the season, if GTA 6 weren't about to ass-plode (seriously, have you seen the trunk on that "hottie" in GTA 6?) all over the November/December months and likely well into Q2 2027.

Wolverine won't have a chance to recover and they won't even have the extra sales from the PC crowd to buffer the loss or give it the long tail it needs to get past this unforced error and the GTA blast zone.

Fortunately for gamers who want to overdose on stupid and/or DEI pills (but I repeat myself), it means this garbage will be discounted now long before it might otherwise have seen a price cut.

I wonder if they were playing off the implications the Joker has a romantic interest in Batman, which was implied at least as far back as The Dark Knight Returns in 1986.

It makes a little more sense in the Joker's case, though, as he's usually portrayed as being obsessed with Batman and often wanting to impress him with the cleverness of his plans, and has sometimes even saved him from other villains. Also the Joker is (a) a bit more effeminate, having a performing arts theme and being very theatrical (b) one of those classic archnemeses and, of course (c) totally nuts.
