They're still trying to catch that mythological modern audience that never seems to show up, instead of catering to a very real and existing fanbase.

And Amazon has more money than even Disney to throw away chasing that unicorn

Let them DIE. Stop trying to save Hollywood. If they made it. They'd ruin it. They would DEI it in omeway or form. They can't be trusted. FUCK HOLLYWOOD. FUCK THOSE P3D0S. The future is WITHOUT THEM.

Amazon is not Hollywood. Like Disney they have other revenue sources that enable them to keep putting out bomb after bomb . There not like your typical Hollywood studio that goes bankrupt after too many failures.

Jennifer Salke is gone as of March 2025. They eliminated her position, but I think the relevant party now would be either Salke’s old boss Mike Hopkins (Head of Amazon MGM) or Head of Global Television, Peter Friedlander. Or his deputy Blair Fetter, who is now Head of Worldbuilding and Genre Series. Friedlander and/or Fetter would likely be the guys who cancelled the reboot - they’re both new and came over from Netflix.

Amazons response to this is simply verifying what many of us suspected, that the Amazon executes don't have a clue on how to do proper Movie & Film products. The ONLY reason their stuff gets any views is b/c of the massive amount of $$ they spend on them so they look great but suck at every other aspect.

Because their a streaming I imagine that will help hide the foolishness of their choices at least for a while unlike in Hollywood where enough box office failures in a row would bankrupt a studio. Ultimately it boils down to what Bezos wants and clearly he still believes woke can work and he has a lot of money he can piss away before being forced to face reality.

I do hope the producers are trying to shop this around to other streaming platforms.
