Grant Morrison, the writer of DC’s Green Lantern comics, has criticized the ending of HBO’s Lanterns, saying the finale abandoned the basic premise of the franchise.
Still not regretting avoiding anything that Gunn touches. Also haven't forgotten his pedo "humor" tweets that got him fired from Marvel the first time.
Questionable legality aside I cannot help but feel the muted reaction to the series is going to age poorly if and only if future Lanterns seasons are more cosmic and epic. A first seasons grounded on earth, a second that draws Jon deeper into his role as a galactic vigilante and a third season as a full-on space cowboy. They could be setting up a very compelling triptych.
The legality was not questionable, her actions were illegal and John's action of letting her go was also illegal. John is not a vigilante, he is a police officer, I don't think you understand who these characters or the whole premise of the Green Lantern's.
By "questionable legality" I did just mean "illegal". I was just being flowery with my language.
I am definitely a new fan but from my understanding Jon is like a rouge lantern doing in own thing away from the Guardians on Oa. I think that counts of as vigilante!
