You were much kinder to Discovery than it deserved, but right on about everything else.

I just think most people thought PIcard wasn't as bad as it actually was, and I rank the destruction of characters like Picard and 7 of 9 as worse to star trek lore than some stupid Discovery non-canon in my head lol

Lorca was the only aspect of Discovery that made stomach-churning season 1 watchable. After that, forget it. Season 2 left me with vomit-flavor in my mouth and I refused to buy season 3.

Picard season 1 was almost entertaining, but the forced lesbian flow at the end was enough for me to never want to watch any further.

So done with gender and sexual "journeys." That is NOT science fiction, unless the story analyzes the absurdity of these stupid self-identity "journeys."

Whew, what a bunch of stinkers. I am happy that I never bothered to watch any of this tripe.

I stopped after the first few episodes of Season 1. The odd first officer, the "new" Klingons, the Mary-Sue "Michael" Burnam (plus the name Michael on a woman never feels quite right).

I struggled through season 1 of Picard out of TNG loyalty, and was very disappointed. Not even Season 3 could lure me back.

I wanted to give Strange New Worlds a go but - burn me once, shame on you... etc..

Some shows get better with distance, like Voyager and Enterprise. I didn't care much for them so didn't watch the TV run, but when they came to Netflix later I watched them and realized maybe they weren't so bad. I don't think that's going to be the same from Kurtzman trek. I don't think any of these shows will be palatable to anyone with a lick of taste or even a light awareness of Star Trek.

Because of Kurtzman Trek I went and bought Blu-ray editions of all the legacy Star Trek shows in case they decide to retcon something. Maybe Skydance will be better stewards?
