Do you remember how they jammed Legolas into the Hobbit movies for no good reason, and he looked weird because he was older and they gave him some goofy blue contact lenses? It's going to be like that for Frodo.

FFS, the movies were a quarter century ago. Either let it go or remake them.

I don't want to watch anything written by colbert.

I wish hollywood would rediscover its originailty.

I haven't watched any Lord of the Rings movies since the first three.

The books are much, much better.

Maybe Eleanor and the rest of the hobbits can all turn to the camera at some point point and lecture the audience on the importance of vaccines

Considering the beauty, craftsmanship, inspiring message, sense of duty and honor, and positive portrayal of men as leaders, as family, and as friends, it is wholly astonishing that a sycophantic, bitter, mean-spirited, manipulative, lying, contemptible worm like Stephen Colbert enjoys even a single word of Lord of the Rings.

The man is Grima Wormtongue in the flesh.

My only explanation is that this conniving troglodyte was given his "love" of LotR by some long-planned demonic scheme to sully the work with his filthy hands.

Nothing else makes sense. If he truly loved the work in heart the way he professes, it would have moved something in him long ago. There's too much goodness and wholesomeness in the pages for anyone to overlook/misinterpret other than the willfully misled.

Like an orc grasping a fair and beautiful treasure, he seeks not to appreciate it, only to profane and lessen it with his cruel touch.

I say again, it is his purpose, and a purpose most foul it is.

It will be like so many other franchises. Does anyone remember them making a Highlander after the first? A Terminator after the 2nd? Anything in Middle Earth after RotK? Nope, it is all just fanfic.
