Electronic Arts completed its $55 billion sale to a private investment consortium on August 4, ending 37 years as a publicly traded company in the largest all-cash take-private deal ever recorded.
Say goodbye to Mass Effect 5 and any future Dragon Age games. If they the new EA executives were smart, they would sell the IPs to somebody interested in making real games - and real money. Probably not going to happen.

Publicly traded companies have their own issues. Private equity takeovers create more & different issues. They'll have a harder goal & benchmarks, but they will be the goals & benchmarks of the money men.
