Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 wrapped last night with its finale, “The Southern Cross,” and the creative team delivered the most overtly political season of any live-action Marvel project to date.
Political nonsense aside, how much plot does the MCU need at this point? It's crossed over from "homework" to a weekend job, picking up casual hours on the side, or putting in volunteer time at the senior center.
Even if it was good and not alternate reality, bizzaro world, Hollywood fan-fiction, I would still hard pass on this.
Girlboss Karen makes an appearance once again, along with a laughable White Tigress moment. BB Urich has a smug video to rally the Antifa troops and later gets her uncle's office. Kingpin gets to walk away despite leaving behind dozens of bodies. Female Muse is on the way.
At this point I just assume that anything Disney produces is going to be crap. What would it take for me to check out Daredevil again? Disney would have to sell the rights to someone else.
Increasingly often I hear young people (under 30) say they that they have moved beyond disinterest in new films and shows to hoping they fail. This is logical, as they recognize that these are produced by people who despise them. Everything begins with identification as friend or foe.
I watched it. I liked it okay. Yeah, there was an obvious anti-Trump vibe that I didn't care for...but on the whole, I thought the season was okay. Not great...but okay.
I got a headache reading through that.

Who has the time and patience for such things?
Marvel is Dead. Manga won. So who cares? Let it die.
Garbage does not deserve my attention.
What this guy said.
This was horrible.

It's a mess.
Will I watch? Never.
I refuse to watch anything from Marvel or DC. I eagerly wait for their bankruptcy.

Give Chuck Dixon creative control, and I'd give it a go.
Don't tease me like this.

Sounds like it's time for some Sleepy Bear Coffee to stay up studying for the next season.
Not.
