Disney loves the CIA. Pizzagate involved kids and drugs outta cuba. CIA and DISNEY are bedfellows.

Came here to say this. Kind of bummed that I had no one to geek out to about how Damage Control did exactly what the CIA did with Nazi scientists--promote them and give them full access to do whatever evil thing they could come up with and then unleash it on the American people. Seriously, the Intelligence Community is the world's greatest supervillain.

I appreciate this! I remember reading DAMAGE CONTROL limited series in the late 1980s/early 1990s and then simply forgot about it. Then I see they migrated into this dark federal agency in the MCU upon watching SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY and wondering, "What did I miss?" Thanks for filling in all of the blank spots. Also - I never knew who Dwayne McDuffie was. It turns outs he was an extremely gifted storyteller and a very creative man who never made it past his 50th birthday. This is an excellent overview. You have my gratitude.

I remember my room mate reading these and thought it was a funny premise, but what it sounds like to me now is the MCU is trying to check the anti-capitalist and anti-big brother boxes at once.

Brand New Day truly sounds awful to me. The more I hear about it, the less I ever want to see it.
