Is that why it ships with a code for digital download? Endless fixes, patches and player run Q&A sessions to iron it all out for a potential Physical Disc Many Months later?
I bought the new Star Wars tactics game last week. It plays but I only get decent performance on my super gaming rig despite the game being pretty much a visual rehash of 2024 mid-looks.
Now that they're moving away from Discs and don't have the excuse that they had to meet some sort of mastering deadline, what excuse are they going to give when the game has thousands of bugs on launch?
Oh, right. They'll say "Oops, our bad. Won't happen again!" and everyone forgives them until the next time and the same thing happens. Wait, isn't that what happens now?
What does it matter, really? The practice is common knowledge by this point, has been for years. It doesn't stop anyone from opening their wallets and bending over, though. At least not in any significant number, especially not for GTA.
