I think both The Angel Guild and the heads at Angel Studios were misguided. They probably thought it was going to be an adaptation of George Orwell’s Animal Farm. They weren’t aware that it was going to be another generic Seth Rogen movie, with Seth Rogen and Nicholas Stoller’s evil agenda attached, and directed by Andy Serkis of all people.

I'm watching Tim Pool's podcast on this right now and he's right! This is not a good, family film. It's a woke, anti-capitalist mess. Angel Studios really dropped the ball on this one.

Wow! Sure is shocking that an old socialist like Orwell would write something anti capitalist!

Orwell's Animal Farm was anti-Communist. While a socialist, he fiercely criticized Soviet communism (Stalinism), most famously in Animal Farm, as a form of dictatorship that destroyed true socialist ideals. When a movie makes Maye Musk out to be the evil enemy I would say that they strayed far from the book's original theme (anti-communism) and are also bashing Capitalism along with bashing Elon Musk, MAGA, etc.

The point of Animal Farm isn’t a critique of revolution nor of communism. It’s a critique of the betrayal of the revolution.

Have you even read Animal Farm recently?

In the later chapters we see how the capitalist neighboring farmers cooperate with the new animal owners, and how the animal leaders increasingly take on human/capitalist traits.

Sounds like the movie does a fair job with the material.

Orwell wasn’t anti communist. He was anti Stalinist.

Tim Pool is an annoying moron.

Look, Animal Farm was never meant to be a critique of communism or some kind of allegorical tale about collectivist ideologies.

It was an old Trotskyist retelling the recent history of the USSR. That’s it.

It’s not that deep.

Look up what Orwell himself said about the book he wrote. You could not be more wrong.

Orwell specifically wrote Animal Farm about the betrayal of the Russian Revolution and as a warning against totalitarianism in general.

The man was a socialist till he passed.

Tim Pool's bald head is equally upset.

Wow... from

"There hadn't been a retelling of this that really connects with a modern audience. So we've couched it in such a way that it feels like a family film"

to

"We’ve not made for this for any kind of algorithm"

in a wink and a turn. Lol. Get lost.

I still see clowns driving around jalopies, with their stocking caps on in the dead of summer. I always assumed they were loyal to their “style”.

What a stupid thing to have your personal brand tied to: a simpleton tuke.
