When hits like Black Myth Wukong or Monster Hunter release, they are measured against perpetual million-concurrent-players games like the CS. The fact that this rubbish is being measured against Failguard tells all that people need to know, I think.

I have around 50 people on my Xbox friends list. None of them have played this woke garbage game. Big difference from Valhalla which around half, including myself played on launch. Odyssey was the same. Lots played that.

I'm calling now: AC:S will be one of the monthly PS+ games this August. That is, if Ubisoft doesn't go bankrupt first.

We will know the whole story, good or bad, in about 10 days. The release of any game gets these make believe stats. "Most ever sell throughs in 12 hours;" "Most downloads per minute for 8 hours;" "Most sales by the 9th game in a series of JRPGs in 4 and a half days." None of it means anything. And if it has legs because something about the gameplay ends up surprisingly good, peak count could go up. If the peak count doesn't top Dragon Age in 10 days, it's all done. If it gets a second wind, so will Ubisoft. I'm personally thinking the former.
