Amazon Prime Video replaced its photoshopped gunless thumbnails for its James Bond films, but still replaced some of them with images that crop out firearms. This Substack is reader-supported.
I bet they believed it could be done under the radar Its clearly an anti-gun action, something decide on by someone who is anti-personal firearms but I don't believe they wanted it to be noticed but accepted so they could in way make jest of those who are pro-guns. There never going to be able to remove guns from existing Bond films so this isn't some kind of initial step in a larger plan. It looks mor like the actions of some adult juvenile who hates guns and saw a chance to exert some of their power by removing guns from the images.
What amazes me is that someone at Amazon seriously thought those censored/photoshopped posters would actually be well-received...

If Amazon thinks the posters are bad, just wait until they watch the movies they own...
Not having a gun in their hands definitely makes them look a lot more gay.
One wonders what Amazon would prefer these men to be holding in their hands...or, y'know what, I'm sure I don't want to know.
