I can relate a bit to this...a couple of years ago I pulled into a parking, my daughter was with me, suddenly an old man approached me yelling that I stole his parking, one look at my daughters concerned face I decided to backhand this dude, I told him to get back in his car, the situation was de-escalated immediately, I think because his kids was with him he did what every father will do, take the threat down or away from your kids, if he was alone he most likely would've talked the situation down.
