Actors Matthew Marsden and Nick Searcy both shared what they’ve heard as well as their personal experiences and noted that Hollywood is dying. This Substack is reader-supported.
Between 2015 and 2019 I watched over 800 movies, between 2020 and 2025 it dropped down to 50, good old TV shows like 24, Frasier, Grimm, Person of Interest and 100's more has taken their place, I used to take no Interest in TV shows, thanks to WOKE Hollywood they've completely lost me
Hollywood needs to collapse. They have been subverting our culture and our value system since the Cultural Revolution of the 1960s. But we need a domestic alternative to rise up and take its place.
Asia is now doing to Hollywood what Asia did to the U.S. automobile industry in the 1980s. I’m a big fan of Asian cinema, but I don’t want to outsource our entire entertainment industry to Japan, Korea, and China, cultures which are greatly different from our own. People are so focused on “woke” that they overlook how socially dysfunctional a lot of anime is.
There are some conservative movie makers out there. Angel Studios, Kevin Sorbo, Mel Gibson, & Jon Voight. But if Hollywood and TV studios like Netflix don't start making UN-woke shows they will be dead and gone. I haven't been to the movies in over a year (saw Cabrini) and I cancelled all my TV subs. Money talks!
Glory to God!
Burn the place to the ground. Or drop the entire state off into the ocean with a satisfying earthquake.
sigh
Yes, we need to reinsert real culture and morality back into the industry or we'll all be reading books instead.
