Taylor Sheridan, the creator of a number of Paramount’s hit TV shows including Yellowstone, Landman, Tulsa King, and Mayor of Kingstown, is leaving the studio for NBCUniversal. This Substack is reader-supported.
To each his own; I hated SEX IN THE CITY but clearly enough people liked it for that show to be a winner. That said, enough people like Sheridans shows to make him a very popular guy and a smart network lead picks based not on ego or personal preference but ratings and success.
Depending on how much Sheridan is involved in a show, it won't matter that the shows stay with PARAMOUNT if he's not. This really sounds like another Low IQ Executive decision to me. Right now Sheridan is I would imagine a very well sought after person so letting him walk like this doesn't sound smart to me. Maybe Ellisons Ego is bigger than his brain. I do know that many of these wealthy executives can't be told anything by anyone else as they look down on those who aren't fellow executive billionaires. I do know that if his exiting these shows alters the level of quality in them I will also be exiting with Sheridan.
Supposedly he appeals to those on The Right. Not to me. Too much revisionism, anti-Catholicism, feminism, and sodomite approval for those of us who prefer our entertainment to be a little more edifying.
That appeal is likely b/c in comparison to most of what is out there his shows aren't what one would typically view as woke or pushing the message. I watch every series he's done and I've not seen any premotion of feminism; strong female characters yes but not feminism.
Matt Stone and Trey Parker will stick around now that they were paid big bucks to pump out unwatchable TDS drivel for retards.
Bye. Didn’t like your shows

Clearly, but I didn't enjoy his take on faux-machismo.
