While I find some gay rightwingers very persuasive and helpful, I do notice they hit a wall at some point and are unable to know, grasp, accept the real solution. That is of Jesus Christ. They slink back to empathy and reason and being logical... avoiding the fact of a spiritual war. Getting us all to try academia to solve the issue all the while academia is a cabal of the demonic.
While some of them might experience a genuine gradual change of attitude (and others are just simple-minded opportunists), I am pretty certain for many of them this a type of false flag operation.
It is not uncommon in systems with multiple parties for one side to set up a new party on the opposing side simply to dilute the opponents' political support and break them up. In such scenarios, the aim of such purpose-built group is not to win anything, but to weaken the opposing side through fragmentation and infighting. Just like in this case, I suspect.
What is astonishing is how they've been able to successfully corral conservatives and other people of the Right using the same playbook for sixty years. This is no different than WFB declaring the John Birch Society to be kooky extremists and the entire Republican Party following his mendacious lead.
