The most decorated writer of SF in history - of course it is a proggie female... that I wager 90% of readers have never heard of while the other "less accomplished" folks mentioned, like Azimov and Heinlein, are virtually household names in even the most casual SF circles.
Connie Willis sounds more like a tyrant, also like SHE’S acting like a Nazi. I mean, putting Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel and Seth Meyers in her “heroes” list, when those three did more in harming the country, shows how out of touch she is.
Not only have I never heard of her, but I never want to hear anything about that hell hag again. She does NOT represent Sci-Fi excellence, but nothing but TDR. Let her live in her own little Hell bubble in the Twilight Zone, and never be heard from again. So Mote It Be.
First I’ve heard of her - not surprising if she is in the Hugo good graces, as they and I have considerably different tastes when it comes to sci-fi/fantasy literature.
Mostly time travel into British history, most of it humorous but not all. Before this post despite reading much of her work I didn’t know anything about her politics, so I’d still recommend giving it a try if you enjoy that sort of thing.
Yeah, I checked out the reviews for a bunch of her stuff on Amazon - as always, starting with the one-star reviews! - and saw that even her fans were more than willing to call a mutt a mutt.

I learned to hedge a little: if I saw a book written by a woman, I left it on the shelf. Then I started avoiding the award winners and “acclaimed best sellers”. Those were inevitably written by faggots or clowns, for faggots and clowns and celebrated by faggots and clowns.
I finally just gave up on the genre. I went to historical fiction for a few years and that got pozzed too. Then the movies did the same.

I was happily in fandom long ago, and it’s sad to see how captured by the left it has become.
