Star Trek: Strange New Worlds went back to the Elysian Kingdom for season four’s penultimate episode, “Once La’an a Time,” and the result is one of the most infuriating hours this show has produced.
It may be me, but it does seem that they want to write everything but Star Trek. They want to write fantasy stories, monster stories, horror stories, anything but feel good science fiction.
I guess we should count ourselves lucky that they haven't written any mirror universe stories yet.
But then, why should they when the whole crew were evil in the fantasy story.
You wonder if anyone…any one person…in that Writers’ Room wondered aloud why they were doing so many humorous bottle episodes. Did they all know it was the last season and decide to make the vast majority of episodes a huge middle finger to Trek fans?
I am so tired of all the gimmick episodes this season. They’re essentially ruined what, up until now, how been the best live action Trek of this era. This season is an insult to the fans, the characters, and the actors.
i love how hollywood thinks that white nerd culture needed to end up a woke mess. i think the goal is to kill off every franchise that disney can afford so they can replace everything with some singular 'disneyverse' that covers all media.
As soon as the writers and producers found out the Star Trek-fans claimed SNW the best, and the only decent, modern Star Trek show they immediately started to burn it down to the ground.

But the mirror universe is classic Star Trek. The problem is they take nothing serious and basically they do not love this universe.

This “season” has been full of copycat stories. Few new ideas.

All the new trek has always struck me as cos play, i guess it was just a short step to LARPing.
Not infuriating. Boring. Boring. Once again, who is the audience of these odd (pun intended) episodes?

Star Trek is Paramount, not Disney.

Alex Squirtzonmen is done. Just ignore this current slop.
I'm literally reading your article while the episode is streaming in the background. 😉
