My needle doesn't even twitch for Stargate.
I was trying to be cautiously optimistic for Stargate, but Star Wars Girl got me hyped now. It's coincidence that I just completed a full rewatch of all stargate -movies, sg1, atlantis, sgu, even infinity, and capped it off with a rewatch of Farscape and Peacekeeper Wars
If they pull this new chapter of Stargate off without screwing the pooch, I will be so happy.
There were some proto woke junk in Stargate, so hope they dont double down on it.
Remember Sam fighting Attila the hun or going on about sexual organs being on the inside - pure cringe.
They also did those body swap episodes, with atlantis being the worst having McKay and becket kiss.
And SGU with its HR lady interfering in everything.
SGU came off to me as an attempt to replicate Farscapes "azzholes in space" but failed to make the characters anywhere near as likeable. Farscape worked because it was always funny when they were all backstabbing and screwing each other over. SGU I almost wanted the bad guys to win.
Oh well, let's hope for the best because there is a lot of great sci fi in Stargate beyond my nitpicking.
