This is why the Hellmouth hates independent creators.

I want more of this.

I see why the powers that be went after this. It would have been so much better than STD or any of NuTrek. At least we're getting something for Axanar finally. If they had been smart they would have just paid the Axanar people to make a new show and never let Kurtzman near it.

So you would rather have a documentary of super-tight closeups of foreheads and emblems than actual storytelling?

Loved it!

Incredible! I'm truly excited to see this! The music, gfx, sfx, the uniforms, the decor... the principles of Star Fleet... it felt more real then anything I've felt in a long time.

And so many great names attached to it!

More of this! MORE OF THIS! I want to give someone my money for more of this!!!!

I’d like to leave a truthful comment about Peter’s and Axanar but right now I’ll just mention the $500 I donated and never got what I was promised. It might be a good idea to look into the amount of money Peter’s stole from fan donations for himself, his girl friend, and money for a for profit studio he wanted to open in order to make a profit. In no way was he sued because Axanar was ‘too good’.

Great new installment in the Axanar series. If you want to download it (like myself for my Jellyfin server), a 4K version without DRM is on YouTube on the AxanarHQ channel, and you can easily cut out Peters' intro with LosslessCut. PS: make sure you also check out the Axanar short films, but some of them aren't on YouTube. I even like "The Decommissioning"… made my own version with some added music, and suddenly it works really well, even though it's just a camera & FX test. Real quality filmmakers involved here, not just for the main films, and we can't thank them enough.

Update: Axanar now has its own streaming & download platform for (almost) all Axanar content including Axanar fan films at beta(.)axanar(.)com/watch

Hmmm....not seeing it there.....I wonder what happened?

I had to delete my previous comment, because the YouTube version was in fact removed after a copyright takedown by Paramount. (!) Afaict Jon only received permission from Peters to make the film's streaming version available here on FandomPulse. That permission almost certainly doesn't include the right to distribute copies of the film, or for viewers to rip the stream into a permanent local copy, even if it's technically easy, since the streaming DRM protection has now been removed. However, Peters said he wants to make the film freely available for everyone to stream & download. Hopefully that happens soon, at least on the Axanar website.

Sounds like Jon has a takedown notice coming his way!

That's not unlikely. Substack will probably just remove the whole article.

Well done AXANAR creators! However, I have questions; Is this an alternate universe? If not, why are there female captains, alien members of Star Fleet and Klingons with ridges? In ST-TOS Spock, with the exception of the all Vulcan manned ship in The Immunity Syndrome, are the only alien members mentioned in Star Fleet. Also, in TOS there are no female captains yet and the Klingons do not have ridges. This is so good, I don't really care, it's just my TOS fan for 60 years coming out. Looking forward and hoping for more AXANAR!

Great stuff, captures the spirit of ST unlike any of the slop we've been getting since 2005

I want to believe there'll be an Episode 5!

Thank you! I was one of the first to watch. How surprised I was when I went later to share it with friends and found it it was gone.

At least you stripped off the marketing spiel at the beginning!

It's the other way around… they added it for the YouTube version. 😉
