Actress Sophie Turner, who is playing Lara Croft in Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming Tomb Raider series, indicated the series will be feminist as the company revealed the show’s full cast.
Being a Leftist is the fast track to advancement in Hollywood. As a showrunner, Phoebe did some small obscure things and “Killing Eve” - a British spy show (feminist, of course) which I doubt many have heard of.
Amazon selects their shows for ideology, not track record or other demonstrated skill. They have vast cash, and are investing it in Leftist propaganda. The “Long March Through the Institutions” in action. Conservatives throwing victory parties in the US have no idea what they are facing. Fear would serve them better than confidence.
Not to mention, Phoebe Waller-Bridge was afraid of going to jail, if she kept sitting on projects, that never got made, so this show got made as fast as possible. Also, confidence is a better weapon, then fear.
Killing Eve was honestly pretty good - right up until the idiotic ending.
The cast for this new Tomb Raider doesn’t seem particularly disturbing… but few actors are anything more than chess pieces for the writer/director and none of these are Daniel Day-Lewis caliber.
I’ll probably see it. I doubt it will be good but am hoping to be surprised. At least, unlike the box office, Amazon allows the viewer to directly express their dissatisfaction after watching (as opposed to assuming it was good just because they bought a ticket). That said, Rings of Power has definitely left me anything but sure they actually give a damn about the viewers’ opinions.
The Netflix animated series is setting a pretty high bar (while still being a bit over the top with strong female characters), as far as these things go.
I'm signaling that Amazon's Tomb Raider will just be another laugh filled disaster starring an actress that we all disposed of after the 1-2 flop bonanza that was GOT season 8 and that gay X-Men Phoenix movie.
PWB is heavily involved. The hardest of passes.
Feeble Walrus-Bitch.
🤣🤣🤣
Bezos will leave no legacy.
Good old Bezo The Clown. 🤡

Another IP on its way to the trash heap of already woke-destroyed IPs.

Girl boss who can do everything if men would just get out of her way.
Finally there will be a true Lora Croft!
When? Ten years from now?
