Actress Rosamund Pike, who played Moiraine in Sony and Prime Video’s Wheel of Time series, claims the show was scrapped due “to the terrible churn factor.”
I look at those pictures and think how do you draw those short spears from you back if they are point up. Might as well put arrows in a quiver point up. They need to hire a consultant that will tell them that is a bad idea.
Almost exactly the same, but I think I made it through the first 2 episodes. Never been a Brandon Sanderson fan, but it pains me to think Harriet McDougal signed off on it.
I never read the books; was forewarned how much time wasted on descriptions, etc.
But I had hoped for better on the show and it just wasn’t compelling.
Most of all it shared the same problem as a movie you might recall starring John Travolta, called “White Man’s Burden.“ It was sold as A movie where white people wear the minority living in a society of majority Black people. The stupid part came in, because instead of changing the culture to be more black, and the white culture being minimized… Instead it was just a bunch of Black people acting white, and John Travolta trying to act black. So there wasn’t actually a switch, just a skin color but not behavior and culture.
That’s where the story and the Amazon show failed as well. The society run by women. But they didn’t act like women. They acted like men, and the men acted more subservient and effeminate. It pissed me off because if you wanted to have a cool society run by women, they should still act like women and be women; strong at times but still feminine and womanly. Showing them acting like men? Nope🙄

I watched about three episodes of season one and couldn’t recognize the books I fell in love with. Very disappointing.

No loss at all.
Geez Louise, Rosamund Pike is basically a real life Amy Elliot Dunne(You see what I did there?).
Is churn the new word for what happens when you make something nobody wanted, do it badly, and then persist in doing it until the money runs out?
I like it. Simple, concise. Boo to the to the churners. I do not believe that is butter.
