Paramount Promises "Authentic And Exciting Experience" For Its Upcoming 'Call Of Duty' Film
Paramount announced it has struck a deal with Microsoft subsidiary Activision to develop a Call of Duty film.
In a press release announcing the deal, Paramount stated, “Under this milestone partnership, Paramount will develop, produce, and distribute a live-action feature film based on Call of Duty, designed to thrill its massive global fan base by delivering on the hallmarks of what fans love about the iconic series, while boldly expanding the franchise to entirely new audiences.”
The company added, “Both companies are committed to honoring the brand’s rich narrative and distinctive style, promising an authentic and exciting experience for longtime fans and newcomers alike.”
Paramount Chairman and CEO David Ellison commented on the deal saying, “As a lifelong fan of Call of Duty this is truly a dream come true. From the first Allied campaigns in the original Call of Duty, through Modern Warfare and Black Ops, I’ve spent countless hours playing this franchise that I absolutely love. Being entrusted by Activision and players worldwide to bring this extraordinary storytelling universe to the big screen is both an honor and a responsibility that we don’t take lightly. Essentially meaning like they always do that they want to target people who aren't fans: gays; lesbians; trans; furries; freaks; pedos; and more. So they'll insert enough of that in to appeal: feces wrapped in a Call of Duty wrapper. Doesn't it smell sweet?
Intent is to ruin - it never was to "attract a new audience."
