Orson Scott Card’s post-apocalyptic series Extinct has landed in the top ten on Prime Video, nearly nine years after BYUtv killed it after one season, and Card used the moment to announce a new novel set in the same world.
I had BYUtv on the back end of my cable system back then, and caught the show on that channel. I loved it and was crushed when they cancelled it. I'd love to see Card continue the story.
We are watching this series now. Definitely had interesting story elements but suffered from so-so production values and writing. Reminded me, often, of the times Stargate was cheesy. Card is writing a new novel based on the world. Have high hopes for a matured story arc.
Missed this one back in the day, found out about it after it was cancelled. Never got around to it.
