Netflix announced production on The Future is Ours, a Spanish-language adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s 1954 short story “The Golden Man.” The project comes from Netflix’s Spanish division, which offers a glimmer of hope that the series might avoid the overwhelming LGBTQ themes that have dominated recent science fiction offerings from major streaming platforms.
