It still amazes me that Star Trek devolved from an episode like THE FIRST DUTY in ST:TNG into a mess with a skirt wearing Klingon and a comm badge swallowing cadet...
Perhaps I misunderstood this articles title but Nerdrotic did not help Bury Star Trek. He didn't even expose it. All he did was bring attention to that which those behind Trek were publicly releasing. It's like aiming STAR WRAS drop on performance on :"franchise Fatigue" instead of being honest about the real cause.
I'm not big on Gary's politics but b/c he was a small business owner in CA he got to experience the joys of Democrat Socialism enough that he left but his take on pop-culture is dead on far more often than not IMHO.
Not true depending on how you define production. There is no physical work being done such as filming, casting or the like but that which must come first, the brainstorming and ideas, is being done and the new owner of Star Trek, Skydance, has publicly stated future goals with Star Trek we just have to hope and prey they don't screw it up worse or just keep the same woke trash pile going.
"There is no Star Trek in production anywhere."
