Nathan Fillion has been posting cryptic videos on social media, and the internet is doing what the internet does best: speculating wildly about a Firefly reunion.
I kinda hate all these remakes and reboots of Millennial franchises. Like the Scrubs reboot - it feels like a totally unnecessary cynical cash grab disguised as nostalgia bait.
Is it too much to ask for today’s writers to do something original? At least that way I can just ignore it rather than suffer watching something I once loved be desecrated by talentless hacks.
Flashbacks. For Wash I mean-- you forgot the possibility of narrative flashbacks. Ok actually you didn't, but what I mean is: the power of the flashback allows for a situation where most of the story takes place after the movie "Serenity", but some of it takes place before-- when Wash is still alive.
But right now I'm anticipating one time charity event or something.
I hope it's for a really good cause. There's plenty of need in the world these days.
I really really wish they would bring Firefly back not as a cartoon, but as a regular action show. The only problem is they killed off Wash, and he would be left out, unless they could bring him back as some kind of AI program. Like Max Headroom. I love this show!
What about Adam Baldwin? Has he gotten a visit or is he too MAGA for Fillion?
The film established that androids are a thing (Mr. Universe's "significant other", for example). Robot Wash is a very real possibility.
